Who doesn’t love to read?

Of course, there are few people who doesn’t like to read because they see it as a boring thing to do. Imagine, sitting in a corner, reading a book, some may mistake them for being a BIG geek or a nerd. But, this I tell you, are all falsehood. Reading is a passion. You sit in the corner because you want to read with full concentration. You want to go wherever the book wants you to go. You want to feel whatever the book is inculcating in our hearts. You want to picture the scenes accurately being described by the author of the book. You want to let the book come to life in your own imagination.

But that doesn’t mean that we’re a geek, nerd, or whatever some people refer us to. It’s just that, books are our alternate reality. Besides from sleeping, reading is a way where we can escape the seemingly endless miseries of our unfortunate lives. Because by reading, we get entirely hooked up by the story that we tend to forget our own story — our own misleading story. And that, for me is a good thing.

For some people like me, reading is everything. One cannot live without a book for a book is a person’s window through the world of his dreams. A book is his only passageway. His solace. I am not over reacting. Books are important, it feeds the mind and the heart. It awakens conscience. It is a necessity. For those people who haven’t read a book for once in his life, read one. One will suffice. Every person must have at least one favorite book. One that he will live by.
